Fashion Trend Forecast - Australian Spring Summer 20/21

After a long winter the seasons have changed and down here in Australia we are looking ahead to a bright Spring Summer. With a change in season comes a change in fashion trends and we are excited to embrace the warm weather and workshop what to wear. New arrivals from our favourite designers including Mela Purdie, ELK The Label, Kinney, Trelise Cooper and more have started arriving and we can't wait to share it all with you! Read on for our key spring summer outfits and summer trends for 2020...

Midi Dresses

An everyday, comfortable dress is a Summer essential. A complete outfit that one can throw on and go, that takes the effort out of choosing what to wear. Simply add a sandal and your choice of jewellery, or team it back with a box fresh pair of sneakers to ensure comfort is key.

Puff Sleeves

A dramatic, feminine sleeve is a great way to add a point of difference to any outfit. Puff sleeves are one of the hottest summer trends as we see a surge of soft structure in cotton shirting and casual dresses. Think oversized crisp shirts, billowy dresses and soft blouses with ample fabric. Mela Purdie has an easy to wear solution in her infamous Microprene fabric, a French milled cotton blend fabric with loads of stretch. Or why not combine two of our favourite summer trends, puff sleeves and stripes?

Relaxed Comfort

Let's be honest, we've all spent the majority of 2020 in our track pants but shaking off this comfort dressing doesn't have to be a rude shock! The loungewear look is not going anywhere which suits us just fine. Especially when the options to choose from are extensive. From washed organic cotton in relaxed pants and soft t-shirts to technical joggers that will take you everywhere from pilates to golf, we've got you covered.

Earthy Tones

Calm, earthy hues are extremely popular Spring Summer fashion colours for 2020. Neutral, timeless and easy to wear there is a tone for every complexion from pale sandy beige to rich tones of ginger, caramel and coffee. Perfect to pair back with crisp white for an elegant summer look. If block colour is not your thing why not go for a neutral print, stripe or spot. Scroll down for some more summer outfit ideas.
