Today we focus on our favourite cashmere label, Mia Fratino. Mia Fratino is an Australian, slow fashion label that has a focus on ethical souring and creating timeless pieces designed to be worn for years to come.
Cashmere is a luxury fibre, clothes made from cashmere are warmer and more lightweight than sheeps wool. Cashmere is extremely fine and silky to the touch, making it a lovely soft and cosy texture.
Mia Fratino is world renowed for their high quality Mongolian cashmere sourced from the fine fleece of the Cashmere goat. The fibres are spun at a family owned yarn spinner located on the border of China and Mongolia. This spinning mill has been spinning yarn since the 1800’s and are a supplier to many luxury labels such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada.
Mia Fratino’s garments are then made in its Australian owned, Sri Lankan factory, which maintains high quality workplace standards and ensures no workers are exploited.
We love Mia Fratino because the of their consistent high quality and ethical manufacturing process. Many of us here at Impulse have owned our Mia Fratino pieces for years and still consider them a staple in our wardrobe.
